Sensex Down 920 pts, Nifty Tumbles Below 23,050; Axis Bank, Adani Ports, Bajaj Finserv in Red
The Indian benchmark indices are trading in red on Friday, April 25. As of 11:00 am, Sensex was down by 920.47 points or 1.15% at 78,880.96, while Nifty tumbled by 308.15 points or 1.27% at 23,938.55.

The Indian benchmark indices are trading in red on Friday, April 25. As of 11:00 am, Sensex was down by 920.47 points or 1.15% at 78,880.96, while Nifty tumbled by 308.15 points or 1.27% at 23,938.55. Close to 393 shares gained, while 2888 shares declined, but 103 shares remained unchanged.
All major sectoral indices are trading with losses, including auto, media, metal, power, oil & gas, and realty, which are down by 2–3%. While SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life, Infosys, TCS, Wipro are the major gainers, Axis Bank, Trent, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Jio Financial have turned out to be the laggards. On the broader markets front, BSE Midcap index and BSE smallcap index are down by 2% and 3% respectively. Nifty metal came down by more than 2% breaking the 8-day winning run.
Slew of companies including Reliance Industries, Maruti Suzuki India, RBL Bank, Tata Technologies, L&T Finance, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance, DCB Bank, Force Motors, Hindustan Zinc, Chennai Petroleum Corporation, Dr Lal PathLabs, Lloyds Metals and Energy, Bank of Maharashtra, Mahindra Lifespace Developers, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Oracle Financial Services Software, Poonawalla Fincorp and many more are set to report their Q4 earnings today, April 25.
